Academic Integrity

Short Video and Tutorial Series on the value of personal and academic integrity as well as the value of citations in college but also in life.

PURPOSE

This resource has been created in the spirit of professional development. HCU tutors are employees of the university and all employees must continually work to keep their skills fresh. This also pertains to values and other information important to your organization. At HCU, academic integrity is a highly significant issue because it demonstrates our personal character as well as our relationship to Christ. Plagiarism is also considered intellectual theft and every bit as significant as stealing physical property. A plagiarism suspension is serious and can follow a student into the future if one should attempt to register elsewhere. It equally affects one's professional career and insinuations or proof of plagiarism can mar future aspirations. This is serious business. We hope this helps you retain a solid ethical footing and that you can help instill these same characteristics in those for whom you have responsibility for tutoring.
