Houston Baptist University endeavors to provide reasonable accommodations for students with documented disabilities on a case-by-case basis. Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 states that “no otherwise qualified handicapped individual shall, solely by reason of his handicap, be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination in any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”
American Disabilities Act (1990) in effect implements Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
