InterLibrary Loan- If you are looking for a book and/or journal article that the Moody Library does not own you may InterLibrary Loan borrow the item/s from another library. Use the link to your left to find the form for books and the form for journals.

We can not InterLibrary Loan items the Library owns.

Journals: MAKE sure to check both the Journal Locator to see if the library has an electronic version of the journal.  Also check the Library Catalog and search by Periodical for the Journal Title.

Books: Make sure to check the Library Catalog to see if we own the item first. We can not InterLibrary Loan an item we already own even if it is already checked out by another patron.

You will need to fill out the appropriate form one either via WorldCat, LinkSource (LS) link under the article record, or the InterLibrary Loan forms online here. The library does not interLibrary loan theses or dissertations. Peer Reviewed, Academic or Scholarly Journals:  Check to make sure the journal article you use has published in a Scholarly, Academic or Peer Reviewed.  This EBSCO links explains Scholarly –Peer Reviewed Journals.   

Primary documents for the humanities are explained Yale University.   Note: Another issue is citing private e-mail letters to help give proper credit.  Private e-mails will not be available for "public" viewing to support numbers one and two above in most cases if someone wants to verify your source so those documents may need to be printed. Be sure you first have their permission to be quoted.

Terms & Vocabulary.  Keep a running list- As you are reading your studies keep a running list of other terms or names of researchers or organizations that you might use to search again.  Check to see if the record for the article links to the references used in the study AND articles that cited that study at a later date.
