How to Create Your HCU Account for the New York Times

With the help of HCU Bookstore, current faculty, staff, and students can now have access to the <i>New York Times<i>! You will need a current HCU account.

  • Step 1: Navigate to https://www.accessnyt.com
  • Step 2: Search for and select "Houston Baptist University - Houston, TX"
    • You will be redirected to the NYT registration page.
  • Step 3: Click "Create Account" and complete fields; you must use your @hc.edu email 
  • Step 4: Verify your account (you will receive a confirmation email)

If you have ever had a free account, you need to log it out before following these steps. If you continue to have difficulty, please go to https://nytimesineducation.com/access-nyt/. You can email questions and problems to email edu@nytimes.com.

If you continue to have difficulty, following the instructions in our troubleshooting LibGuide and clear the cache and New York Times cookies, close the browser and try again.
