Moody Library Resources for Online Education Students: Home

This guide is designed to be used primarily by online education students.

Getting Started

This guide is intended to give HCU online education students and online faculty an easy-to-use jumping off point for accessing HCU Library materials. While you'll find information here on both print and electronic resources, the greatest focus is on online materials.

This guide will always be a work in progress. If you have any suggestions for what you would like to see included please e-mail me.

Websites to Help with APA Style

What is a DOI?

DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers) are used to identify digital materials uniquely and persistently. APA is now recommending that these numbers, when available, be included in citations to electronically retrieved articles. Many articles indexed in PsycINFO now include DOI numbers.  Here is an example of the use of a DOI number in a citation:

Padilla-Walker, L. M., & Carlo, G. (2007). Personal values as a mediator between parent and peer expectations and adolescent behaviors. Journal of Family Psychology, 21(3) 538-541. doi:10.1037/0893-3200.21.3.538
