EDSP 5302 Cohort: DOIs and finding Journal Websites.

McGaughey & Fontenot

What's New

Here's a quick list of what's new:

  • Include a DOI for almost all articles.
  • New format for articles with six or more authors.
  • Databases often list issue numbers and dates incorrectly.
  • You almost never need to say which database you used.
  • You almost never need to say when you retrieved the article.
  • Journal Articles located in databases such as Academic Search or PsycInfo are referenced as if they come from the home page of the journal.
  • Online books are cited with their retrieval information (url) rather than publisher location and name.

Don't have a DOI? Search here for URL of Publisher.

First check this Database for the URL; then try to find the publishers site on the internet.
