Credo Reference is a database available through MOody Library. It has over 2 million articles from over 900 reference books. All of the articles are full text and can be saved and cited. Many also include images that can also be used in papers or presentations. Credo Reference is a great place to find do preliminary or background research to scout out your topic, to get better context of a topic you know a little something about, or start learning about a new topic. Article range from short to lengthy.

General Use Suggestions

Here are some of the varieties of ways that you can use Credo Reference:

  • Advanced searches can limit articles to over 500 words. There are entries with as many as 6,000 to 8,000 words as seen in some of our reference work.
  • Articles can be downloaded or saved to Google Drive. They can also be cited, read aloud, and translated.
  • Related searches can be suggested and additional articles can be recommended. 

  • Credo searches are also searched in JSTOR, ATLA Religion, Oxford Music, and other. It is an easy click to switch from Credo to another of our databases.
