SciTopicsSciTopics is a free expert-generated knowledge-sharing service for the scientific community. It serves as an information and collaboration service for researchers. SciTopics offers authors a dynamic, quick, informal yet authoritative online publication platform.
Invited authors can publish a concise overview of their particular area of research. They can invite co-authors to jointly create and update the content of the SciTopics page.
Researchers can use SciTopics to stay up-to-date in their field and/or get a quick overview of a topic outside their area of expertise without having to search multiple websites.
The authors of a SciTopics page can provide selected references for relevant literature as well as selected links to interesting Web sites.
Using keywords selected by the author(s), Elsevier provides links to the most recent and most cited published articles on the subject through Scopus, the world's largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature. Keywords are also used to identify links to relevant Web results and science news through Scirus, Elsevier's science-specific search engine. These external links, updated each time the page is viewed, allow for more in-depth coverage of the subject reflecting the most current information.
If abstracts are available and you would like to read any article, you can fill out an Interlibrary loan form. These are available under the "Library Services" link on the library's home page.
